People are warm, helpful,welcoming. Pastries are terrific and a wonderful change from the same old chocolate croissant morning bun. The Turkish coffee opened my eyes on a difficult morning. Hard to spot, but don't miss it!
I've been going here since they opened, and it's hands-down my favorite bakery in the bay. Every pasty and cake is so beautiful and flavorful! I enjoy visiting each time because I get to try something new Chef Nadir makes that I didn't see before. The tables outside are great for enjoying your food with a nice cup of coffee in the sun. The lively customers that also frequent this place make it feel like a community each time you sit down. I wish this place nothing but success, and for everyone in the bay to become a local customer like myself.
We tried the sandwiches and the pastries, we love every bite of our food. Its one of those places that becomes that surprises you once you enter: from Turkish delight to middle eastern deserts to French pastries. The entire time we were there we would see people come buy stuff from a bakery at 8pm which shows how liked is that place. Their hospitality is top-notch just like their food.
Omgosh the goodies galore and the variety had me floored ! It took 15 minutes for me to choose there was so many delicious options !!!! 10/10 hidden gem 💎
So delicious so much variety and great service! There's a very handsome young man working the counter Friday night and he's just a wonderful employee. We loved the halal tiramisu and fantastic passion fruit tart and I was blown away by the turkish delight! I can't wait to go back and try more items, the only down side is that there are too many things to choose from! What a gem, and the price was really fair! 3 large portions of high quality desserts only $14 total.
Lovely little cafe with nice strong espresso drinks, delicious pastries, some outdoor tables. I was having a bad day and the clerk (maybe owner?) gave me a treat for free with my order. The alfajore was so good I almost cried. Definitely check this place out.
Small place but there are seats outside. It's great for a maximum of 4 people to sit at the tables but tables are really designed for 2 people. Tons of tasty sweets fill up this tiny place making up for the small space. Best Turkish delight I've ever had; Turkish coffee was great. Additionally, they had amazing service; took their time explaining what the different items were since many of the treats were new to us. I'd definitely go back and would opt to take my goodies to go. I want to try their sandwiches next time!
Absolutely love this cafe—halal, a dangerously large dessert selection, and customer service so nice it almost feels suspicious. I somehow keep “accidentally” ending up there… even when I’m in Berkeley for completely unrelated reasons. Funny how that works. Their Margaaz halal Algerian sausage sandwich is a must try-I always have to order it 🙃

Great spot for Algerian food in Berkeley! 🇩🇿 The sandwich was super tasty, flavorful, and generous. It really gave me a taste of home with authentic flavors and simple, comforting food. The outdoor seating is nice and relaxed, perfect for a quick bite! Definitely recommend if you want something different and delicious!
